DILATED STORIES

Alongside the festival »20.21 KANE innen« at the independent theatre Landungsbrücken Frankfurt e.V., which restaged the plays of British director Sarah Kane, the artists Lisa Peil and Catharina Szonn curated an accompanying group exhibition. From the exhibition catalogue: »[…] DILATED STORIES provides far-reaching insights into the lives of the participating artists, reports on different approaches to art production in the everyday life of a capitalist system and tells of the attempt to evade dominant structures in the long term. We realise that the emotional is political. What if the body needs a break from itself, but there is no time for regeneration?«

In close collaboration with the curatorial team, we considered how we could create an appropriate design framework for the inner lives and emotional worlds and developed a graphic language for the corresponding catalogue and advertising materials.

The works on display are by Severine Meier, Nani Lee, Yong-Kang Yuan and Dolorosa. The photo of the billboard is by Lisa Peil.
